The Old Port of Montreal Corporation is beginning its project to repair the western section of the promenade pier. The work consists of restoring the promenade wall on the river side at water level.
The aim is to ensure the durability of the infrastructure and maintain a safe environment for all users.
The area affected by the work extends from the St-Pierre entrance to the restroom block (opposite the café des Éclusiers).
SCHEDULE AND TIMETABLE
- Period: January 26 to April 30, 2026
- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
IMPACTS
- Construction noise
- Presence of workers
- Presence of trucks and other vehicles coming and going
- Installation of construction fences to close off sections of the construction site
