First in Montreal, first for Quebec, and a global first as a university competition
Montreal’s first edition of this international event, the Ice Box Challenge is a demonstration of building energy efficiency... in the middle of summer! The goal is to design and build a structure that can preserve a large block of ice for as long as possible—without any cooling or air conditioning systems. This year, students from the École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS) and Concordia University will face off to see who can keep the most ice over the 3-week competition.
