Canada Day celebrations at the Old Port!
On July 1, 2025, the Old Port of Montreal will come alive in red and white for a joyful, family-friendly Canada Day celebration!
Montrealers are invited to gather at the Quai de l’Horloge for a festive day where all generations can come together, have fun, and celebrate the richness of our country. At the heart of the event: Canadian pride, the welcoming of new citizens, and a warm atmosphere for all.
The day will begin with meaningful highlights, including a 21-gun salute by the Canadian Armed Forces and the citizenship ceremony for new Canadians. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of free activities, including games, face painting, creative workshops, a relaxation zone, and much more.
Mini Canada Day cupcakes will be offered to the public—a sweet tradition that delights families year after year. The celebration will wrap up with energetic musical performances — including DJ Hools — and a lively, welcoming vibe from morning to evening.
