CERCLE POLAIRE, AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE WHERE ARTS MEETS NATURE
Cercle polaire returns to light up winter in the Old Port of Montreal from November 7, 2025, to March 8, 2026.
Cercle polaire, the immersive light art installation created by Expérience centre-ville, returns this year in a brand new setting: the Old Port of Montreal. Designed by M.A.D. Collectif and created by Cree artist Jason Carter, this fourth edition invites the public to discover the majestic beauty of the poles while reminding them of their great fragility in the face of current environmental challenges. Between contemplation and awareness, Cercle polaire creates a space where art becomes a gentle but profound call for the preservation of these threatened ecosystems.
Set up along the riverbank, the installation offers an enhanced visual and sensory experience. The luminous silhouettes of polar animals come to life through a play of lights that transforms the winter landscape into a veritable Nordic tableau.
